Best of Both is the highly anticipated collaborative EP from South African Amapiano producers Ntsakzin and Massve, marking a powerful statement in the South African electronic music scene. Known for their distinct production styles—Massve's soulful 3-Step structures and Ntsakzin's deep Sgidongo and Sgija Amapiano elements—the duo comes together to create a project that seamlessly bridges two musical worlds while honoring their individual roots .
Released on July 24, 2026 through Spirit Music / Rapture Music Group, the 6-track project represents more than just a club record—it is a forward-thinking sonic experiment that blends the smooth, soulful textures of contemporary Amapiano with the driving, hypnotic rhythms of 3-Step and deep Afro House . As the second official studio release in each of their independent careers, the EP showcases the creative chemistry between two producers who let the music lead them rather than forcing their sounds together .
The project is anchored by powerful, star-studded records including "Mnakwethu" featuring Amapiano heavyweights Soa Mattrix and Starr Healer—a track that explores themes of brotherhood and loyalty, with the title translating to "my brother" in Zulu . Another standout is the infectious, uplifting anthem "Lilizela" featuring the captivating vocals of Kailey Botman, a nearly seven-minute closing track that delivers a perfect balance of deep percussive grooves and soulful vocal melodies .
The EP glides between hard-hitting Amapiano bounce and smoother, more melodic Afro House cuts, giving the collection a shifting texture that keeps the energy consistently fresh. Vocal hooks are traded generously across the songs, with collaborators including Silas Africa, Mdoovar, Amukelani Malenda, and Herrah adding distinct flavours without ever crowding the groove . Nothing on the tracklist feels like filler; each collaboration carries its own identity while still fitting neatly into the overall flow of the release.
Best of Both is a set built for the dancefloor as much as the daily playlist, appealing to Amapiano purists and Afro House heads alike. It firmly positions Ntsakzin and Massve as a duo capable of consistently strong, collaborative output and as serious tastemakers shaping the future of African electronic music .
